A simple disk formatting is insufficient, as it does not permanently remove data—it can still be recovered using specialized tools. That’s why we use Certus Software, a certified data erasure tool, to ensure complete, irreversible data removal. This software meets the highest European data erasure certification, Common Criteria EAL3+, and complies with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), giving you confidence that your data is entirely secure.
Certified Data Erasure with Certus Software
Certus Software, which is Common Criteria EAL3+ certified, guarantees 100% data removal, ensuring that no recovery software or hardware-based methods can retrieve any information from the wiped drives. This certification is recognized across the EU as the gold standard for data erasure, assuring you that your sensitive data will never be exposed after it’s been erased.
After we complete the erasure, you’ll receive a Certified Data Erasure Report, confirming that all data has been permanently wiped from your devices.
How Our Data Wipe Process Works
Our standard erasure process uses a three-pass method:
- Pass 1: Writes a zero and verifies it.
- Pass 2: Writes a one and verifies it.
- Pass 3: Writes a random character and verifies it.
If requested, we can use other advanced wipe methods, though we typically don’t recommend overwriting more than three times, as excessive passes may damage the hardware. Available methods include.
