Reducing Environmental Impact Through IT Recycling

By recycling IT equipment, we’re helping to reduce environmental impact, especially given that electronic manufacturing carries a high environmental cost.

What is E-Waste?

E-waste encompasses much more than outdated cell phones and laptops—it includes any electronic device that is obsolete or no longer wanted, whether it’s functional or not. This includes computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, servers, tablets, and many other electronics, all of which become e-waste when discarded.

Our Process

  • Only 15-20% of e-waste is recycled globally.
  • The global e-waste volume grows by approximately 8% each year.
  • Manufacturing one computer and monitor requires around 530 lbs of fossil fuel, 48 lbs of chemicals, and 1.5 tons of water.
  • E-waste often contains hazardous materials harmful to the environment.
  • Many items labeled as e-waste are not waste at all but are usable electronics or spare parts that can be recycled or reused.
  • An estimated 20-50 million tons of e-waste are discarded worldwide each year.

Why Recycling is Essential

We believe that recycling electronic products can significantly reduce the environmental footprint of the tech industry and decrease e-waste volumes. We understand that change requires collective action and that one company alone can’t solve the problem. However, by actively addressing e-waste, we hope to set an example for others to follow. Many companies are aware, but more need to prioritize sustainable practices and take tangible action.

Our Commitment to Sustainable E-Waste Management

Specializing in the refurbishment of storage devices, servers, controllers, hard drives, and more, we handle a large volume of electronics each week. When we encounter unusable or non-functional devices, we classify them as e-waste. To ensure proper disposal, we work with certified third-party provider with ISO certifications, who recycles all reusable substances from e-waste in compliance with Danish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards.
